Track Review

Healyum Release Latest Single 'Cheap Alcohol'.

It’s that time of the week again where we have all made it to Friday and are on the search for the perfect conclusion to a long week in the form of music and masterful puns. Up step Healyum, who again with new material continues to excite those of us who consider ourselves fans. The latest track, titled ‘Cheap Alcohol’ has us feeling extremely grateful that cheap alcohol can now sound better than how it tastes (there’s the pun).

Previous singles ‘Lies’, ‘Three Months’ and ‘Fools Eyes’ have been supported by Huw Stephens on BBC Radio 1, BBC Introducing, and Radio X (where all three have appeared on the evening playlist). Glowing reviews have come from the likes of The Line Of Best Fit, Dork & The Metro. The band’s music has also found its way onto various BBC Drama & Channel 4 TV shows, and they won the ‘Breakout Artist Award’ at the NMG Awards last month.
Healyum_Cheap Alcohol_PACKSHOTThe new track takes the very best of Healyum and delivers the band to the next stage in their inevitable progression. Through a fantastic vocal performance, playful effects and songwriting,  the ability to keep the listener engaged throughout is unquestionable. Moulded this fusion of points with feel-good hooks and an overall feeling of fun and you have yourself the perfect track to take into your weekend.

With a show yet to come where the band are to feature at Sebright Arms for Abbie McCarthy’s ‘Good Karma Club’, it is not hard to see why momentum has not slowed for  Healyum.
