Track Review: Before // Graywave
It’s refreshing when you hear a song that’s full of power and captivates you straight away. Graywave‘s new song ‘Before’ has this in spades. The track is the second release from her new EP Planetary Shift.
Graywave is the stage name of multi-instrumentalist Jess Webberley. Influenced by the likes of Slowdive and shoegaze, she creates dreamy music that makes you feel like you’re in your own space.
‘Before’ is a song about regression and anxiety. The melancholic chords soar during the chorus and create a massive wave of distortion. It is enthralling, moving, and a wonderful discovery.
If ‘Before’ is a taste of what Planetary Shift is going to be like, then Graywave should be massive in 2021.
