Track Review: Mathematics // Lane Shuler
Lane Shuler is back with his brand new song “Mathematics.” It is a chill beat with introspective lyrics that you have to think deeply to.
He released “Jehovah” recently, and I loved that song, it resonated deeply with me. I’m curious to see how “Mathematics” sounds.
The beat consists of a beautiful soulful piano. It seems like he’s doing a tribute to boom bap, which is great because it is something you can nod your head to. The lyrics are also about self-confidence and about believing in yourself, which is something that we can all use from time to time. His wordplay is magnificent while still having a religious undertone. They are excellent and full of love. “I could make an album ‘bout the waste of space you take up / but I’d rather make an album to help my people wake up.” inspiring. A great find.
