Track Review: Ordinary // Mike Walsh

It’s rare that you find songwriting genius that results in first love on the first listen. ‘Ordinary’ by Mike Walsh is one of these tunes that you have to show people. You think to yourself, “Wow, I can be inspired by this!”

The song has a beautiful ambient pad alongside a plinky piano. The vocals are so wonderful, they remind me of Jack Garratt. I think the production is very simple but sometimes that is all you need because it allows the vocals to breathe. It’s the type of track that you can relax in the evening with a cigarette or even a book.

“Ordinary” by Mike Walsh is a legit banger, and it needs to be heard by the world. What a tune, what a find.
