Track Review: Rhythm of the Road // Alex Krawczyk
Considering her growing popularity, sophisticated melodies and increasing loyal following, it is hard to believe that Alex Krawczyk only began releasing music in 2022. From Music Existence to Which Coast, TJPL News, Music Crowns, Broadway World, Original Rock and Nova Music Blog, this singer-songwriter is turning heads across the globe despite having only a few releases under her belt. In fact, she has also been nominated for a Canadian Folk Music Award for ‘Best New Artist’. The latest addition to her discography is the single ‘Rhythm of the Road’.
Hot on the heels of her well-received track ‘A Song For You’, Alex Krawczyk collaborates with a talented line-up of musicians on ‘Rhythm of the Road’. Penned by Alex with multi-instrumentalist Robbie Roth producing the single, ‘Rhythm of the Road’ takes us back to old-school folk sounds with a sliver of modern-day folk-pop running through the melody. Along with mixing and mastering by producer Harry Hess, Robbie Roth and Alex Krawczyk blend layers of instrumentation in a harmonic, melodic arrangement. Guitars, drums, piano and percussion bring a powerful albeit gentle sound to ‘Rhythm of the Road’ sending you soaring on a sonic cloud.
While the instrumentation holds its own and helps lift you to another sonic dimension, it is Alex’s vocals that really uplift your spirit. Comparable to Carole King and Anne Murray, there is an intimacy oozing from Alex’s dulcet tones; however, while there is a soothing tone, the vocals have a tinge of intimate vulnerability. Interestingly enough, while a poignancy lingers in her voice, Alex’s songs share optimism, empowerment and healing in the poetic lyricism. Sincere, sentimental and insightful, ‘Rhythm of the Road’ is a tender folk song capturing the hearts of anyone who hears it.
In addition to the single, Alex Krawczyk has released a lyric video for ‘Rhythm of the Road’. You can view it below:
