Track Review: Snakes and Their Children // Death Cult Electric

‘Snakes and Their Children’ is the explosive new single from Death Cult Electric. They are a supergroup that is self produced by frontman Steffan Pringle, formerly of Estrons. The song itself is about the government, who in the bands own words “remind us of our position in a crumbling society.”

“Snakes and Their Children” is a cyberpunk anthem with a bouncy chorus. The electronic effects and distorted guitars add to the dark theme of the lyrics. This is especially true in the chorus, where Pringle screams “Forget what you know.” The impact is strong; you can feel the passion in his delivery. I feel like it’ll be a hit with those who like their music on the darker side.
