Track Review: Thriller // Koncept

Koncept has supported Wiz Khalifa and The Roots, carving his name in the hip hop scene. He is back with his fast paced new song “Thriller”.

My first thoughts about this song is that it is going to pop off live. It is indeed close to midnight and when he raps “my thriller come alive with me, hands to the sky” this gives you hope that things will be okay. The organ in the song is almost gospel like. It’s positive and optimistic. What a find. This song, you imagine this will get Koncept a bigger audience.

The G funk synth at 0:42 was unexpected and repeats throughout the chorus. It takes you along for the ride, which shows the power that music can bring. A great song.
