Track Review: What Next // Thrillhouse

Listening to Thrillhouse’s songs over the past few months has been like reading a diary entry into lockdown. The songs are very personal and speak candidly about how the majority of the world has been feeling during this difficult period. They are back with another new song called ‘What’s Next?’ which is out now.

‘What Next?’ is a tale of positive optimism because the lyrics could be asking what will happen once the restrictions are lifted? Especially when Sam sings “Show me a sign of life” backed by a funky organ. Sonically, the song is very positive because the organ along with the staccato guitars will boost the listeners’ serotonin levels. It is just what is needed as we edge towards better times.
